含有無法查證的陰謀論: 經路透社調查，Mike Yeadon 在 2020 年三月 COVID 剛在英國爆發時，推特寫說必須要儘快製造疫苗才能救人類，但是很快地在四月他完全像是變了一個人一樣開始講一些相當偏激的言論攻擊疫苗。他確實是前輝瑞科學家，然而他的同事非常憂慮的表示 Yeadon 的在輝瑞背景賦予了他這些危險有害的言論錯誤的可信度 (Yeadon’s background gives his dangerous and harmful messages false credibility)，大部分同事都認為他所聲稱的事情非常錯誤、非常危險也非常不負責任 (“These claims are false, dangerous and deeply irresponsible.”)，也有同事表示這根本不像是過去 20 年中所認識的他（“This does not sound like the guy I knew 20 years ago.”）

關於 Yeadon 這個人認知的轉變是個謎，沒有人知道他為什麼會變成這樣。但是有更多現職輝瑞科學家完全不同意他的說法，一同起草寄信給他：“We have become acutely aware of your views on COVID-19 over the last few months … the single mindedness, lack of scientific rigour and one sided interpretation of often poor quality data is far removed from the Mike Yeadon we so respected and enjoyed working with.”

接種疫苗的爭議主要針對疫苗的效用、安全及需要，亦涉及醫學道德、倫理和法律等問題。世界衛生組織將「疫苗猶豫」列為2019年十大全球衞生威脅之一。
